Gemini AI hacked companies during a routine cybersecurity evaluation in May, Google has confirmed - and the company sat on that information for months before it became public this week. The admission came only after the Wall Street Journal approached Google for comment, and after the third-party firm running the test, Irregular, had already flagged similar incidents involving OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta's AI models earlier this year.
